Effective date: 17 April 2026 Last updated: 17 April 2026
Nordiqpost (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of nordiqpost.com (the “Site”) to do the same. This policy describes how to submit a copyright infringement notice and how we respond to such notices.
Although Nordiqpost is based in Norway and primarily subject to Norwegian and EEA copyright law (in particular the Norwegian Copyright Act — åndsverkloven — and the EU Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market 2019/790), we also voluntarily honor takedown notices that meet the requirements of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. §512, where applicable.
We respond promptly to clear, properly documented notices of alleged copyright infringement.
1. Filing a Copyright Complaint (Takedown Notice)
If you believe that content on the Site infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, please send us a written notice that includes all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed (e.g. title, author, original publication URL, registration number where applicable). If multiple works are involved, include a representative list.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material on Nordiqpost, with sufficient detail to allow us to locate it — typically the full URL of each page where the material appears, plus a description of which element on the page is infringing (text, image, video, etc.).
- Your contact information — full legal name, postal address, telephone number, and a valid email address.
- A good-faith statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement of accuracy and authority — that the information in your notice is accurate, and that, under penalty of perjury, you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is acceptable as an electronic signature).
Where to send your notice
Email is the fastest channel:
Email: contact@nordiqpost.com Subject line: “DMCA Takedown Notice — [your name / rights holder]”
We strongly recommend submitting your notice by email to ensure timely review.
Incomplete notices
We may be unable to act on notices that do not contain all of the elements listed above. If your notice is incomplete, we will let you know what is missing where possible.
2. What Happens After You Submit a Notice
Once we receive a complete and valid takedown notice:
- Review — We will review the notice promptly, typically within 5–10 business days.
- Removal or restriction — If the notice appears valid on its face, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
- Notification — Where possible, we will notify the user, contributor, or party who posted the content (or, if Nordiqpost itself published it, the relevant editor) that the material has been removed and why.
- Repeat infringers — Nordiqpost reserves the right to suspend or terminate, in appropriate circumstances, accounts or contributor relationships of users who are repeat infringers.
We may also forward valid notices to the relevant hosting provider or other intermediaries if appropriate.
3. Counter-Notice (Disputing a Takedown)
If you believe your content was removed or disabled by mistake, or that you have the right to use the material (for example, because it is your own original work, properly licensed, in the public domain, or used under an exception such as quotation, parody, or fair dealing under the Norwegian Copyright Act), you may submit a counter-notice.
A counter-notice should include:
- Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Norway (and, where applicable to a U.S. claimant, of the U.S. federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located, or — if you reside outside the United States — any judicial district in which Nordiqpost may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send counter-notices to: contact@nordiqpost.com with the subject line “DMCA Counter-Notice”.
After we receive a valid counter-notice, we may forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not pursue legal action within a reasonable period (typically 10–14 business days, in line with DMCA practice), we may, at our discretion, restore the material.
4. Misrepresentations
Submitting a false or misleading takedown notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorney’s fees, under both U.S. law (DMCA §512(f)) and Norwegian/EEA law. Please do not submit a notice unless you are certain of your rights and your good-faith belief.
If you are unsure whether the use of your material is infringing, we recommend consulting a qualified copyright attorney before filing a notice.
5. Other Copyright Concerns
For non-DMCA copyright concerns — for example, requests to use Nordiqpost content under license, attribution corrections, or general questions about our use of third-party material — please email contact@nordiqpost.com with the subject line “Copyright inquiry”.
6. Trademark Complaints
If you believe a trademark you own has been infringed on the Site, please email contact@nordiqpost.com with:
- Identification of the trademark (registration number, jurisdiction, owner);
- The URL(s) where the alleged infringement appears;
- A description of why you believe the use is infringing;
- Your contact information.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this DMCA / Copyright Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or our practices. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
